Project | Student fun Night

In my groups, teams, and leadership course, my team and I noticed the lack of involvement of CSM students on campus, so we organized an event on campus to bring students together and have fun. We had different games and snacks set up. We advertised for the event on the CSM website and posted flyers around campus.
Service learning project 2019
Project | Thank a Veteran

In my contemporary communications course, my group and I wanted to raise awareness of the increasing suicide rate among elderly veterans in nursing homes, so we gathered multiple research sources and set up a table at the Thank a Veteran event on campus. We made PSA's, informational brochures, and a guide on how to interact with the elderly properly, and had forms of what local nursing homes may be in need of. We completed this project to raise awareness of the problem in our community and inform students on ways they can get involved and support our veterans.
